TinChat uses them for three purposes and nothing else: keeping your guest session intact while you match, remembering a handful of preferences, and counting page visits without identifying anyone.
Necessary cookies are the load-bearing kind — they carry your guest session into each match, and turning them off stops the service from working at all. Preference cookies save small choices so you are not asked the same thing twice. Analytics cookies tally visits in aggregate only: which pages get read, never who read them.
Buying coins runs through an external payment processor, which may set its own cookies to handle checkout and block fraud. Those sit under the processor’s own policy, and the card details they protect never reach us.
Any modern browser can block or delete cookies from its privacy settings. Blocking the necessary ones breaks matching and sign-in entirely; blocking the rest merely forgets a few preferences. Wiping cookies also erases your guest session — occasionally, that is precisely the point.
