A tin chat session runs on your camera and microphone, and both live under your browser’s permission switch, not ours. Video only flows after you grant access, and every call is a closed two-person room — no audience, no public stream, no relay elsewhere. No software is ever installed on your device.
The technical data a match runs on
Running a live matcher takes routine technical data: rough device and browser details, server logs with IP addresses and timestamps, and aggregate counts of which pages people read. Your guest session keeps what it needs to function — a free-match balance and any coins you hold. Payments for coins go through outside processors, which means full card numbers never land on our servers; the terms of service describe the same setup.
Cookies in plain words
Cookies carry out three jobs on TinChat: holding your session together during a match, recalling a few preferences, and counting page visits anonymously. Reports and moderation
When you report or block someone, context from that session can be attached to a moderation review so the crew can act on it. That loop is how repeat offenders get removed from the matching queue. The conduct standards being enforced are written out in the community guidelines.
What you control
Camera on or off, stay or skip, keep the session or erase it — ending a call takes one tap, and closing the tab ends everything. Asking us to correct or delete session data works via the contact page. Your personal information is never sold — not under a bundle, not ever.
